Basic Services as Funeral Director, Staff & Overhead
Our fee for the basic services of funeral director and staff includes, but is not limited to staff to respond to initial request for service; arrangement conference with family and responsible parties, arrangement for funeral; preparation and filing necessary authorizations and permits; recording of vital statistics; preparation and placement of obituary notice: and coordination with those providing other portions of the funeral, e.g. cemetery, crematory, vault companies and others as required. Also included in this charge are overhead expenses relative to our facilities such as professional licensing, legal and accounting fees, insurance, building and utility expenses, parking lot and grounds, maintenance, taxes, equipment, furnishings, inventory costs, record keeping, and secretarial and administrative expenses. This fee for our basic services and overhead will be added to the total cost of the funeral arrangements you select. (This fee is already included in our charges for direct cremations, immediate burials, and forwarding or receiving remains.)
Except in certain special cases, embalming is not required by law. Embalming may be necessary, however, if you select certain funeral arrangements, such as a funeral with viewing. If you do not want embalming you usually have the right to choose an arrangement that does not require you to pay for it, such as direct cremation or immediate burial.
Other Preparations of the Body
- Reconstructive restoration when necessary.

- Special care of Autopsied Remains
- Washing and disinfecting remains when not embalming
- Shelter of Remains (after 4th day). This is a declinable charge if our facilities are not used to shelter remains
- Use of facilities and staff services for visitation (per day). Our services include set-up of visitation area placement of encased remains, display of floral arrangements, supervision of and attendance during visitation
- Use of facilities and staff services for funeral service or additional staff necessary for service in other facility. Our services include coordinating the funeral arrangements, supervision of funeral and staff to attend funeral ceremony
- Use of facilities and staff services for memorial service (without body). Our services include coordinating the memorial service arrangements, supervision of the memorial service, and staff to attend the service
- Use of Equipment and staff services for grave side services. Our services includes accompaniment of remains to cemetery, supervision of grave side service and staff to attend the service.
Transfer of Remains to Funeral Home

Forwarding Remains to Another Funeral Home
This charge includes: basic services of funeral director and staff, a proportionate share of overhead costs, local removal of remains, embalming and other preparation of remains, obtaining necessary authorizations, air tray, if relevant; local transportations (not to airport and shipping cost). This charge does not include a visitation, rites or ceremonies prior to forwarding remains and the container for transporting remains.
Receiving Remains from Another Funeral Home
This charge includes: basic services of funeral director and staff a proportionate share of overhead costs, care of remains,
funeral coach for local transportation to cemetery or crematory.
The charge for immediate burial includes removal of remains, local transportation to the cemetery, necessary authorizations and basic services of staff. This charge does not include the use of facilities and staff or any visitation or ceremony prior to burial.

- Immediate burial with gray cloth covered soft wood casket selected from our funeral home.
The charge for direct cremation includes removal of remains, necessary authorizations, and basic services of staff. This charge does not include crematory fee or the use of facilities and staff for visitation or ceremony. If you want to arrange a direct cremation, you can use an alternative container, encase the body, and can be made of materials like fiberboard or composition material (with or without an outside covering). The containers provided are unfinished wood boxes.

Alternative Selection
(Traditional Funeral Service Package)
This selection is an option which is available from our firm. This service includes our professional services and additional service of staff, embalming and professional care of the body, use of the funeral home for visitation/wake (includes 24 hour period before the funeral service), use of chapel for funeral service or the use of necessary equipment for a church or home service, use of funeral coach, limousine, transfer of remains, register book, acknowledgement cards, and a temporary grave marker.
